As members of the International Pediatric Chiropractic Association, our chiropractors are highly trained in the assessment and treament of pediatric patients. Pediatric patients can begin care from day 1 to address a variety of naturally occurring conditions, as well as limitations from intrauterine development or birthing procedure.

Both Dr. Michelle & Dr. Sarah use the activator adjusting tool in practice for children and adults, who may prefer instrument assisted adjustments to manual therapy. Treatments include soft tissue therapy similar to massage therapy, joint mobilizations, stretching exercises, parental education and much more!

Why should I bring my child to the Chiropractor?

  • To complete a detailed medical history & physical assessment of their nervous system, development and age appropriate functional abilities.

Is it safe for babies to be adjusted?

  • Yes! We wouldn't see infants and children in our practice otherwise.
  • Adjustments vary dependent on the age and preference of the child and/ord guardian
  • Pediatric adjustment involve a prolonged hold on a restricted segment; much different from adult manual adjustments

What is an Activator? (aka The Clicker)

  • An activator is an instrument assisted adjusting tool that provides a control force to a specific area of the body.
  • This tool is used on infants as well as adults to improve joint mobilty and function.
